If you’ve ever seen a Pookie’s Place cat curled up in their forever home, there’s a very good chance Aimee had something to do with it. As our Adoption Coordinator, she’s the reason so many of our kitties get their happy ending — and honestly, we’d be lost without her. Aimee pours her heart (and countless hours) into finding the perfect match for every cat and kitten who crosses our path. She’s fielded the questions, coordinated the meet-and-greets, and celebrated more “gotcha days” than we can count — all to make sure every adoption isn’t just a placement, but a fit that lasts a lifetime. Her reach doesn’t stop at the Texas border, either — she’s helped home kitties all the way from Arkansas to Texas, proof that she’ll go the extra mile (literally) for the right family. Aimee’s love for cats goes back to childhood, and it shows — she has a genuine, special connection with animals that makes her uniquely suited for this role. Outside of rescue work, Aimee lives in Austin, works a full-time job, and still finds time to be a total foodie and soak up time with friends. Between her heart for cats and her way with people, Aimee is the glue that holds our adoption process together.
