Every cat that comes through Pookie's Place — kitten or senior, healthy or facing a tough medical road — is only here because someone stepped in when they had nowhere else to turn. As a foster-based rescue with no shelter of our own, we rely entirely on our foster families, our volunteers, and the generosity of donors like you to keep going. There is no outside funding covering our costs; every vaccination, every spay or neuter surgery, every emergency vet visit, and every bag of food comes from donations alone. Without that support, we simply cannot take in the next cat who needs us. Your donation is what makes rescue possible. It's what lets us say yes to the cat who needs emergency surgery, yes to the litter of kittens found with nowhere to go, and yes to the senior cat who deserves a peaceful place to land. Every gift, no matter the size, goes directly toward saving lives and finding these cats the homes they deserve. We can't do this alone — but with your help, we can keep giving Central Texas's cats the second chance they've been waiting for.
