Meet Meatball — our giant, lovable meatball with a Garfield-like charm and an appetite to match! This sweet boy loves nothing more than a good snack (or three), followed by a long, cozy nap in a sunny spot.
Meatball’s story starts out in the woods, where he was trapped at just 15 weeks old and lovingly socialized into the sweet boy he is today. That early start in life means Meatball is extremely, extremely shy around new people, and he will need a very special adopter — someone patient, gentle, and experienced with shy cats — who is willing to spend real time earning his trust. It won’t happen overnight, but for the person willing to put in the time, the reward is a devoted, loving companion who will greet you with sweet little morning meows, so excited that you’re up and starting the day with him.
Once Meatball feels safe with you, he transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug — he loves being held and petted, and he’ll happily settle into your arms for as long as you’ll let him. He’s easygoing with other cats and isn’t dominant at all, gets along well with dogs, and does best with children ages 8 and up.
If you have the patience and love to help Meatball come out of his shell, he will reward you with a lifetime of devotion — one snack (and snuggle) at a time.
