Every cat that comes through Pookie's Place arrives with a need — a kitten with a respiratory infection, a senior cat with dental disease, an injured stray who's never known a gentle hand. Our Medical Fund is what makes it possible to say yes to these cats, covering emergency vet visits, surgeries, medications, and the ongoing care that a foster-based rescue with no physical shelter depends on to keep every cat healthy and thriving. Right now, that fund is completely depleted. Between recent emergency cases and the everyday cost of caring for our foster cats, we've used every dollar we had — and we need your help to rebuild it before the next cat in crisis needs us.
